In the main entrance hall of the school, 200 pieces of white bone china were piled up on a table. Each item had a black ribbon attached.

To every person entering the building a piece of crockery was given as a gift, together with a fly sheet which gave the recipient of the gift three choices:

1. Wear the object
2. Break the Object
3. Display the object

This was repeated until no more china was left on the table. 3 Photographers witnessed the selection process.
